Anna was the daughter of George Schneberger who was born Mar 17, 1799 in Bavaria, Germany. Anna and Thomas II were married in 1868 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Festina, Ia.

Ft. Atkinson, IA, Feb 17, 1930:
Mrs. Anna Houdek celebrated her 90th Birthday Friday. A number of her friends came to her home to help her celebrate the occasion. Despite Mrs. Houdek's advanced age, she was able to take an active part in the festivities of the day.

Mrs. Houdek is the Mother of six children, Mrs. Anton Sabelka, John and Joseph Houdek, Anna, with whom she is making her home, Mrs. Charles Michelac of Waterloo and Thomas Houdek of Charles City, Iowa.

A Birthday Cake decorated fancifully for the event was made by Mrs. Houdek's Gradaughter, Miss Cecilia Houdek. Those present at dinner were: Mr. and Mrs. Anton Sabelka, Louis Lechner, Lee James and Martin Meyer; Miss Euphymia Meyer, Irene Houdek, Anna and Cecilia Houdek, Mr and Mrs. Roman Houdek, John Houdek and Phillip Wagner.
