Mrs. Kate James
Mrs. Kate James, aged 72, wife of Chas. L. James, died Monday evening, several miles northeast of Davis, after an illness of heart trouble.
Burial was in Oak Ridge cemetery Tuesday afternoon, services conducted by Rev. S. M. Abston, assisted by Rev. J. S. Ferguson.
Mrs. James was born in Tennessee in 1863, and was the mother of six children, four of whom survive. She and her husband lived in the Colbert community many years where they were closely connected with the community life. Last fall they moved to the Chigley community, northeast of Davis.
