Moroni: Edna Loretta Burnside Spens passing away at her home on September 28, 2003.
Born Feb. 5, 1915 at the Round Hills, Sanpete County, UT to John Mason and Mary Loretta Rowe Burnside.
She married Fairel Willis Spens on Sept. 5, 1934 in Salt Lake.
Marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple July 12, 1946.
She is survived by her husband, Fairel Spens; children, Daryl (Pat) Spens; Merna (Earl) Butler; Faun (Dennis) Spendlove; Frayne (Dana) Spens; Harold John "Tim" (Sheri) Spens; Jill (Kent) Ludlow; Stacy (Julie) Spens; 46 grandchildren; 78 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Thelma (John) Burnside.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Ferol Sandra Spens; a son, Joel Nathan and a grandson, Gary Neil Spens; brothers and sister, Hugh (Faye) Burnside; Ralph (Hilda) Burnside; John C. Burnside; Annie (Ray) Coates.
Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 3, 2003 at 12:00 noon in the Moroni LDS Stake Center.
Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Magleby-Rasmussen Mortuary in Mt. Pleasant and Friday from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. at the church prior to services.
Interment, Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery.
