"Mrs. Ellie Brown Couch Stoker, 85, a Dallas Resident for about 25 years, died Thursday at her home, 123 West Pembroke, after a long illness. Born in Chester, N.H., Mrs. Stoker moved to Dallas County in 1880 and married the late E.E. Stoker at Lancaster in 1893.

Survivors include three sons, R.R. Stoker of Waxahachie, L.C. Stoker of Texarkana and E.W. Stoker of Wichita Falls; three daughters, Mrs. G.G. Garrel and Mrs. W.J. Rogers, both of San Antonio, and Mrs. Sam Layman of Red Oak; three brothers, E.C. Couch of Brownwood and O.D. Couch and Gene Couch of Zephyr, Brown County; 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Lamar & Smith Funeral Chapel, 800 West Jefferson, with the Rev. Roy Hendricks officiating. Burial will be Laurel Land Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be W.C. Elliott, R.L. McComis, Will Weston, Arthur Hegstrom, John Hughes and Jack Murphy."
