Ida was the eldest child of Osborne Dallas Couch and Ellen Maria Coolidge. She married Nathaniel Pleasant Moss November 19, 1889 in Dallas, Texas.

"Dying on the day her brother-in-law was buried, Mrs. Ida Lois Moss, 62, daughter of a Dallas County pioneer whose house was on the old public square here, passed away Friday at her home, 4507 Bryan. She was a sister-in-law of Col. S.E. Moss, formerly City Commissioner, and of Robert Moss who was buried Friday.

Mrs. Moss was born July 23, 1870, in Chester N.H. moving at an early age to Dallas with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O.D. Couch. Mr. Couch had his home near the Windsor Hotel, the site now in the downtown business district. Miss Couch married Nathaniel Moss Nov. 19, 1889 at Dallas. Mr. Moss dying some years ago.

Survivors are Mrs. Moss' parents, now of Zephyr; three brothers, Eugene Couch and O.D. Couch Jr. of Zephyr, and Edward Couch of Brownwood; a sister, Mrs. E.S. Stoker of McKinney; three daughters, Mrs. Paul T. Kirk, Mrs. A.H. Hegstrom, and Mrs. W.R. Weston and four grandchildren, all of Dallas.

Funeral services will be held at 4 P.M. at the Ed C. Smith & Bro.Chapel, Ross and St. Paul, with the Rev. L. Valentine Lee officiating. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery."
