CHARLES WESLEY MITCHELL, 80, of Rogers died Saturday. He was born April 3, 1899 in Winnfield, LA.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Mitchell of Hope[AR] and Eugene Mitchell of Ashland, Ore.; four daughters, Dera Keen of Rogers, Ruth Blowers of Mt. Hagen, Papua New Guinea, Sara Gerig of Albany, Ore., and Lyneva Grauberger of Longmont, Colo; five sisters, Octavia Morris of Austin, Texas, Bessie Crowson of Twin Falls, Idaho, Ina Shreve of Key West, Fla., and Ninah Mae Simmons and Lena Reiff, both of Dry Prong, La.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Mt. Zion Methodist Church in Winnfield, La. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Rogers Sunday, Aug 5, from noon to 9 p.m.

Wesley was preceded in death by his first (Dorothy Ellen Horn) and second (Lyna Evelyn Westmoreland)wife. His children with his first wife were Charles Meredith, Ruth Evelyn and Bice Glynn Mitchell. (Ruth Evelyn Mitchell Blowers was born May 26, 1926 and died Aug. 14, 2010). Also preceding him in death were siblings Henry Kersey Mitchell, Eva Alabama Mitchell, Jonathan Madison Mitchell, Carrie Thelma Mitchell Wise, and Nellie Vermelle Mitchell.
Wesley second married Lyna Evelyn Westmoreland (1907-1970) and together they had four children: Eugene Howard Mitchell,born 1930; Dera Lee Mitchell Keen, born 1933; Sara Ellen Mitchell Gerig, born 1935; and Lyneva Joy Mitchell Grauberger, born 1945.
After Evelyn's death in 1970, he third married Lela Eva Hodgdon Shoemaker (1908-2009). Lela was born in Wichita (now a section of Milwaukie), Oregon and died in Grants Pass, Oregon.
