Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9 a.m. Saturday from St. Anthony's Catholic Church for
Louis Frank Guardado, 49, of 401 N. 4th Ave., the Rev. Leo Blach the celebrant. Burial will follow in Riverside cemetery.
Recitation of the Rosary will be 7 p.m. at Tennant Funeral Home. Mr. Guardado, driver for United Parcel Service, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 1989, at the Wray Community Hospital.
He was born Feb. 25, 1940, in St. Joseph, Mo., the son of Pedro and Josephine Lopez Guardado, attended Catholic school in St. Joseph, graduated from Christian Brothers High School and served in the U.S. Navy from 1958-1962.
He married Patricia Hamm, Dec. 12, 1964, in St. Joseph and the fa mily moved to Sterling in 1971 and was a UPS employee for 12 years.
Mr. Guardado was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, the Sterling B.P.O.Elks Lodge No. 1336, coached Sterling softball teams and was active in bowling and golf.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Guardado of Sterling; a son, Joseph Guardado of Wellington, Calif.; his mother, Josephine Guardado of St. Joseph, Mo.; eight sisters, Juanita Cruz of Colorado Springs, Theresa Westcott, Pauline Mejia, Debris Dyer, Anna Marie Reno, and Maggie Schnabel, all of St. Joseph, Mo., Carmen Ellis of Blue Springs, Mo., and Lupe Schultz of Wathena, Kan.; seven brothers, Raymond Guardado, Michael Guar dado, Charles Guardado, Pete Guar dado Jr., Frank Guardado and Albert Guardado, all of St. Joseph, and Bo bby Guardado of Kansas City, Mo.
