He married Sarah Benedict in 1827 Tazewell Co, IL. Known children: William, Joseph, Mary Jane and Sarah E.

Henley married Eliza Concannon Sherry in 1844. Known children: Nancy, Anne and Charles.

Arrived in Chicago with his parents from VA in 1824.
