Born Jan. 29, 1892, Panguitch, to George Monterville and Mary Ann Callahan Ames. Married Luella Jane Cook, Feb, 25, 1918, Lyman, Wayne County. She died 1951. Retired rancher. Member LDS church.
Survivors; sons, daughters, James W., Riverton; Vern C., Floyd E., Don Ellis, George D., Bert U., all Ioka; Mrs. Norman (Rieta) Workman, Holladay; Mrs. Dale (Luella) Workman, Mrs. Carl (Eva) Ivie, both Duchesne; Mrs. Robert (Kay) Nyberg, South Jordan; 49 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; brother, sisters, Homer, Baker, Nev.; Mrs. Pace (Elda) Boyack, Spring Glen, Carbon County; Mrs. Earl (Elva) Mickelson, Salina, Sevier County.
Funeral Monday 1 p.m. Roosevelt 6th LDS Ward chapel. Friends call Olpin Mortuary, Roosevelt, Sunday 7-8 p..m., hour prior to services. Burial Ioka Cemetery.
