Sarah Ann was a daughter of Joel Cornelius and Mary "Polly" Easley of Blount County Alabama.
She married Hugh A. McDonald October 25, 1857 in Blount County. Hugh was killed December 31, 1862 at the Battle of Murfreesboro Tennessee during the Civil War. They had one son: John A. McDonald.
She married Ancel Allgood September 26, 1865 in Blount County. Three know children were born to them: Mary Jane, James Alexander, and Joel. They also adopted a daughter Katie (Fannie) Loduska Waters.
Ancel and Sarah died within eight days of each other.
