"Services were held yesterday afternoon for Henry Earl Neal, 57, who died Thursday at the Veteran's Administration Hospital here from a cerebral hemorrhage. Services were conducted from the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, with the Rev. C.V. Everedge officiating. Burial followed in the Tivy Mountain Cemetery, with graveside rites held by 13-A Division of the Garrett-Baker Post. Neal was a sergeant in the infantry in World War I. Neal had been employed by the late A.C. Schreiner, Sr. the Sid Peterson Family, Dr. Sam Thompson and others in Kerrville. He was a native of Rockport, Texas. Survivors include the wife of the deceased, Helen Neal, four sons, Edward, Louie, Merrill, and Roy, all of Kerrville. Merrill and Roy Neal are employees of the Kerrville Times. Also surviving is the mother of the deceased, Frances Neal of Kerrville. Funeral arrangements were by Stover Memorial Funeral Home."
