Sexton, Loranza - Loranza Sexton, age 75, died April 29, 1957, at the Veterans Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the youngest son of Emanuel Sexton and Jane West Sexton, and the youngest of 14 children. Rans, as he was called, enlisted in the U. S. Army July 14, 1901 at Helenwood, Tennessee and after 30 years military service, retired in 1933 at Fort Thomas, Kentucky. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Latonia Sexton Sexton, one son Loranza Lee Sexton, of Fort Knox, Ky.; five daughters, Misses Rachel J. and Naomi J. Sexton of Fort Thomas, Ky., Mrs. Mary J. Carmack of Fort Thomas, Ky., Mrs. Martha J. Risch of Silver Grove, Ky., and Mrs. Monnie Blevins of Cincinnati, Ohio. Three sisters, Mrs. James Buttram and Mrs. John Jeffers, Helenwood, Rt. 1, and Mrs. Johnson Phillips of Sparta, Tenn. 10 grand children, 3 great grand children and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at the White Rock Baptist Church Huntsville, Tenn., at 10 a.m. May 3, with Revs. Jackson Chambers and Abraham Strunk officiating. Songs sung by the Paint Rock Baptist Choir. Interment was in the William Sexton Cemetery, with a brief grave side service conducted by the Rev. Lewis Bratcher of the First Baptist Church of Oneida.
