Mont Wilson PARSONS

Mont Wilson PARSONS, 85, of Burlington, former Fairfield resident, died of cancer at 9:01 a.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 1991, at Burlington Medical Center.

The body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sept. 14 at Burlington Unitaria Fellowship with Alan Egly officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at Fairfield. Memorials have been established to Burlington Unitarian Fellowship and United Nations Association of Burlington.

PARSONS was born Dec. 29, 1905, at Leando, the son of Will G. and Perle B. HANSHAW PARSONS. He graduated from Fairfield High School and Parsons College. On July 1, 1935, he married Ruth E. JOHNSON MADDEN in Crown Point, Ind. She died in 1979. He was retired from Railway Mail Service and later was employed at J.S. Schramm Co. He was an active member of Unitarian Fellowship in Burlington for 35 years.

Surviving are a daughter, Marcia Ruth PARSONS of Milwaukee; a grandson, two brothers, Milford and Wesley, both of Fairfield; and a sister Lucile COWAN of Oak Ridge, Tenn.
