Cornelia was the daughter of Peter Miner and Ellen Mickens. She first married James Louditt in 1861 in Toledo. James was convicted of burglary and sent to prison. He was still in prison when she divorced him. His fate is unknown after his stint in prison. One child, Harriet Maria, was born to Cornelia and James.
Cornelia married Joseph Mahlon Rupp on 20 Jan 1867 in Toledo. Joseph and Cornelia had 4 sons: George Mahlon, Burton Samuel, Joseph Miner (Minor), and William Austin.
When Joseph became ill in early 1900s, he decided to return to Pennsylvania to seek treatment in veterans' hospitals. He left in 1909 and never returned, dying in Pennsylvania in 1922. Cornelia remained out west, mainly in Utah, but did move to Idaho to be with family.
After Joseph's death in 1922, Cornelia applied for and received a Civil War widow's pension from the state of Idaho.
Death Certificate No. 52312 obtained from State of Idaho indicates she died 9 Jan 1926 in Pocatello. Grave is located in Section 4W, Row 15, Space 7. Tombstone has date of death as 11 Jan 1926.
