Helen Louise Rentfro, 74, of Okmulgee, Okla., died Wednesday in Okmulgee.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Okmulgee, with the Rev. Eugene Kay officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Elk city, with the Rev. Glenn Selfirt officiating. Webb & Rodrick funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
Mrs. Rentfro was born Aug. 28, 1918 in Louisburg to Hiram and Eva J. (Whistler) Merritt.
In 1936, she married Bill Rentfro. The couple move to Okmulgee in 1946, and he died in 1989.
Mrs. Rentfro was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Okmulgee, where she also was a Sunday school teacher for the youth class for many years. She was active in recent years with the Pony Girls.
Surviving are one son, Larry D. Rentfro, West Monroe, La.; one daughter, Clara J. Meade, Boston, Mass.; one sister, Bernice Lessman, Meno, Okla. One brother, Clifford Merritt, Independence and four grandchildren.
