Dayton, Wash. Elsie Phillips Clark, a former Kendrick-Juliaetta area resident, died of complications of a stroke Friday at Dayton. She was 84.
She was born April 20, 1911, to Ira and Pearl Fix of Fix Ridge, near Juliaetta. She attended school on Fix Ridge and late attended Kendrick High Schoo.
She married Lloyd Phillips in 1935 and he died in 1955. She married Willis Clark Oct 8, 1961, in California.
The couple lived at Pixley,California, where he was the pastor of United Brethren Church until 1968, when they moved to Dayton.
She was a retired clerk for Montgomery Ward Department Store at Lewiston.
She is survived by her husband of Dayton, one daughter, Norma Childs of Portland, Ore., one son, Ronald Phillips of Spokane, two stepsons, Tom Clark of Lewiston and John Clark of Nampa, one steph daughter, Roberta Horton of Namp., three sistes, Arlee Blewett of Lewiston, Marci York of Spokane and Mary Arkinson of Redding, Calif., and five grandchildren
Three Brothers, Wilbur, Jack and Frank Fix and one sister, Vera Lintz, died previously.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at United Brethren Church at Dayton. A graveside service will follow at the Fix Rdge Cemetery near Juliaetta at 3:30 p.m.
