Mr. Hilliards was born April 27,1938,in Stanley,and was a son of the late Eddie W. Hilliards and Edith Mae Painter Hilliards.
He was a truck driver for Wampler Foods.
His first wife, Charlotte Virginia Turner,died June 27, 1975.
On January 19,1978, he married Bonnie Lou Hughes, who survives.
Also surviving are three son's Ricky Hilliards and Shirley Hilliards, both of Stanley and Jerry Lynn Hilliards, of Luray and a stepson Donnie Leon Hughes, of Shenandoah;
three daughters, Shelby Alger,Joyce Shifflett and Wendy Hilliards, all of Stanley;
three brothers,Charles Hilliards and Ariey Hilliards, both of Stanley, and Carson Hilliards, of Shenandoah;three sisters, Virginia Freeze and Maudie Tappy, both of Shenandoah, and Doris G. Hilliards, of Stanley; 16 grandchildren;and five great-grandchildren.
The Revs. P. Hudson Nuckols and Johnny E. Hensley conducted the funeral at 3:45 p.m. Sunday at the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray.
Burial was in Leake's Chapel Cemetery in Stanley.
