AULD - BROWN
The following account of the marriage of a Texas couple in Pasendena, Cal. Was received yesterday:
Miss Gussie Maye Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Potter Brown, of Kerrville, Tex, and Alex Dan Auld, also of Kerrville, Texas, were married at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Sobron at 1002 North Michigan Avenue, Pasadena, on Saturday afternoon, October 9, at 5 o'clock.
The ceremony was performed by Rev. A. E. Shattuck, pastor of the Lake Avenue Congregational Church, in the presence of relatives and a few intimate friends.
The bride was attended by Mrs. C L. Hobron as matron of honor, and the bridesmaids were Miss Helena Brown, sister of the bride, and Miss Henrietta Cordz.
The bride was becomingly gowned in a tailored costume of embroidered blue brocade and wore a hat of cloth of silver. She carried a shower bouquet of Cecile Brunner roses, lilies of the valley and maidenhair fern.
Mrs. Hobron was gowned in jeweled georgette crepe made over purple panne velvet and carried an arm bouquet of purple asters.
The bridesmaids wore pink tulle over white satin and carried baskets of pink and white carnations and ferns.
Music for the ceremony was furnished by Mrs. Roy Brown, sister of the bride, who played the conventional wedding marches.
The house was decorated with a profusion of pink and white carnations, smilax and ferns, the refreshment table, which was centered by the bride's cake, being especially lovely.
Mr. and Mrs. Auld will make their home in Kerrville, Tex. (San Antonio Express, San Antonio, Tex., Oct. 22, 1920)
