Mary Louise Auld Saunders Lehman
KERRVILLE - Mary Louise Auld Saunders Lehman passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at the age of 86 years.

She was born in Kerrville, Texas, on Nov. 8, 1921, to Alexander Daniel Auld Sr. and Gussie Maye Brown Auld. Mary Louise was the great-granddaughter of Joshua D. Brown, the founder of Kerrville. Mary Louise graduated from Tivy High School in 1940 and from the Texas State College for Women (now Texas Woman's University). Mary Louise married Harold Cleveland Saunders Jr. in 1950 and lived in Sonora where they were in the drilling business. They were charter members and instrumental in the building of the Presbyterian Church in Sonora. They later moved to Kerrville, where their daughter Kay Ann was born.

Harold preceded her in death in 1977. In 1979, she was married to Raymond Lehman in Kerrville, Texas.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Kerrville and a proud member of The Daughters of the Republic of Texas.

She is survived by her husband, Ray Lehman of Kerrville, Texas; her daughter, Kay Ann Saunders Schmidt and son-in-law, Mark Schmidt, two grandchildren, Frederick Auld Schmidt and Megan Nicole Schmidt, all of Burnet, Texas; stepchildren, Joanne Peters and her husband, John Peters, David Lehman and wife, Lourdes Lehman, Jane Lehman, and Richard Lehman and wife, Linda Lehman; several stepgrandchildren; and her brother, Alexander Daniel "Jack" Auld Jr. and wife, Lorna Auld, of Leakey, Texas. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents; and her sisters, Ayleen Aydeen Auld and Joan Auld Powell Hallmark.

A beloved wife, mother, grandmother and a very special lady, she will be greatly missed in the lives and hearts of those she touched.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2008, at Grimes Funeral Chapel in Kerrville, Texas.
