Blanche Elizabeth Mounts, age 92, formerly of 703 North Water Street, died at 11:25 p.m., Thursday, July 16, 1987, at the Meadow View Health Care Center in Salem. She was 92 years old. She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church, and a retired employee of the Washington County Memorial Hospital. A native of Washington County, she was born to Thomas Bryson Mounts and Ida Jane Tatlock Mounts on January 6, 1895, in the New Philadelphia community. Survivors include several nieces, nephews, a sister in law and a cousin, Verle Audrey Mounts of Salem, and a host of friends. Three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 1987 at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem, conducted by Dr. Herbert Berry, minister. Burial followed in the Crown Hill Cemetery.
