Mrs. Eva Thorp Is
Claimed by Death
Mrs. Eva Thorp, 73, resident of the Methodist Memorial home at Warren, died at 6:45 Sunday evening at the Clinic hospital. She had been ill about 15 days and death was due to uremic poisoning.
The decedent, a registered nurse, was born Nov. 14, 1877 in Ohio to John and (Nancy) Catherine Burket Swartz. Her marriage to Chester Thorp took place in 1928. He died in 1945. She had been a resident of the Methodist home about six months.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Ira (Sarah) Meeks, of Parker and a brother, Albert (Elbert) Swartz, of Portland.
The body was removed to the H. Brown and Son funeral home at Warren and will be taken to the Memorial Home chapel where friends may call after 5 o'clock this afternoon.
The body will lie in state from 1 to 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Bluffton Methodist church with services there at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. E. E. Kaufman, assisted by Rev. C. R. Plant, pastor of the Memorial Home. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.
