Walter E. Branning - Pleasant Mount, PA - Walter E. Branning of Pleasant Mount, a retired dairy farmer and equipment dealer, died unexpectedly on Friday, June 26 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, PA. He was 61. Son of Harriet Layton Branning and the late Walter J. Branning, he was born in Equinunk. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of Pleasant Mount U.M. Church. Survivors include his wife, Rachel A. Foster Branning, at home; five sons, William and Matthew, both of Jupiter, FL, David, Stephen and James, all of Pleasant Mount; three daughters, Alayne of Jupiter, FL, Lynda and Julie both of Pleasant Mount; a sister, Shirley Jennings of Stroudsburg, 14 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Pleasant Mount U.M. Church. Burial was in Wheeler Hill Cemetery in Pleasant Mount. Funeral arrangements were made by Bryant Funeral Home in Honesdale.
