Bio

I am an amateur genealogist, and have enjoyed researching my family over the years, especially those "EUREKA!" moments that pop up from time to time. This site has been of great help to me in the past, so now that I am retired, I've resolved to spend time searching for graves, and adding memorials to this site, hoping to help others with their family history and research. I am photographing graves in local cemeteries and adding them to the site periodically. I currently serve on the Board of Trustees of the Equinunk Cemetery Association, in my home village of Equinunk, PA, along the Delaware River. I'm happy to try to locate graves or take photos in the Northeastern Pennsylvania cemeteries accessible to me, particularly in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Wyoming County and Wayne County. I also have ancestors and relatives buried in Delaware, Greene and Sullivan counties in NY, so I make a trip to those areas when I can.
If you wish to claim one of the memorials I have added outside my own family, don't hesitate to ask for it. I don't consider the memorials I add to be "mine", but rather public property. I don't make personal rules about what I will or will not "allow" on my memorials, and it is impractical for me to check the profile of every contributor before I add information to existing memorials to see whether they have "banned" death certificates, etc. I do my best to adhere to the site's guidelines, and I assume others here do so as well. If you make a suggestion to edit one of the memorials I've added, I am going to accept it unless I actually know it to be incorrect, or it raises a logical flag of some kind.
