Honey Grove (Special)--Flags were flown at half-mast here Monday for Staff Sgt. Alonzo D. Sheppard, who died of wounds, Dec. 4, 1944, received two days earlier, on Leyte. His father, Joseph A. Sheppard of Tigertown community, Rt. 1, Honey Grove, was notified of Sergeant Sheppard's death in a War Department message.
Notice of his being wounded had been received Dec. 23 (1944).
