Erma Marlena Miller was one of three children of Mads and
Christie Petersen Andersen. She was born on a farm near
Nelson, Feb. 28, 1911. She was baptized Oct. 29,1911.
Educated in the Superior schools, she graduated with the
high school class of 1929. She graduated from the Hastings Beauty School in 1936.
Aug. 29, 1939, she was married to Omar Miller in
Mankato. She had a beauty shop in Superior. While living in Osborne, Kan., she was an active partner in the Osborne Sale Barn and in the cattle-farming operation.
In 1980, she moved to Lincoln.
She was a member of the Danish Brotherhood, Ruskin,
and the Danish Sewing Club, Lincoln. In past years,she had done volunteer work at both the Madonna and Tabitha
Retirement Homes in Lincoln.
Later she cared for elderly persons in their private homes.
Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents, her
husband, Omar, one son, Ronald, and a sister, Buleah C.
Andersen.
She is survived by her son, Randy, a sister, Gladys
Sorensen, and two grandchildren, B. J. and Megan Miller, all of Lincoln.
The Rev. Jerry Heydenberk officiated at the services.
Burial was in Spring Creek Cemetery near Ruskin.
