Lavada L. Neff, 90, of Floydada, died on Friday, March 16, 2007, at Sera Rose Assisted Living in Plainview.
Mrs. Neff was born on July 11, 1916 in Hall County, TX, to the late David Montgomery West and Ada Edna Risinger. She was married to Lee Ell Neff on October 10, 1936 in Floyd County. He preceded her in death on November 12, 1978. Lavada was a member of New Salem Primitive Baptist Church in Floydada. She was a retired owner - operator of the L & J Food Mart in Floydada.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Arvin West, two sisters, Mary Neff and Dessie Mae McCarvey, one granddaughter, La Nai Rials and one great grandson, Brandon Lee.
She is survived by two daughters, Nelda Rials of Aztec NM, Winola Galloway and husband, Jerry of Floydada; two brothers, S.L. West of Lindsay, OK and Adrian West of Floydada; one sister, Leona Neff of Floydada; four grandchildren, Sherry Vick of Floydada, Sabrina Rials of Aztec, NM, Tammi Lee of Lubbock, and Miranda Rials of Las Cruces, NM; five great grandchildren, Maggie Vick of Canyon, Alyssa Rials of Aztec, NM, Ra Nai Toler of Aztec, NM, Billy Toler of Aztec, NM and Katie Lee of Lubbock.
Services for Lavada L. Neff were held Sunday March 18, 2007 at 3:00 PM at New Salem Primitive Baptist Church, with Elder's Ronnie Hedges and Wayne Venable officiating. Burial was held at the Floydada Cemetery in Floydada, TX, under the direction of Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home of Floydada.
