Wife of: Lester Perry.GASTONIA - Gertrude Elizabeth Allen Perry, 90, of 2780 X-Ray Drive, died Sept. 28, 2009, at Peak Resources of Gastonia.

A native of Jefferson County, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Randolph and Gracie Bailey Allen.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at First Foursquare Gospel Church in Belmont with the Rev. Kevin Ford officiating.

Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Belmont.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Survivors include two sons, Wayne Farris and wife Linda of York, S.C., Allen Farris and wife Diana of Soccora, N.M.; daughter, Peggy Byrd of Kenne-saw, Ga.; one stepdaughter, Joan Guillot of Columbia, S.C.; three brothers, Arlie Allen of Newport, Tenn., Noah Allen of Jefferson City, Tenn., Randy Allen of Belmont; three sisters, Daisy Cherry and Anna Brown, both of Belmont, Mary Maloy of Newport, Tenn.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Edgar Farris, Richard Sutton and Lester Perry; son, Edgar Farris Jr. and brothers, Grady and Creed Allen.
