Mrs. W. O. Parker, 76, ill some time at home, 750 20th SE, died there at 10:15 o'clock Tuesday night. Mrs. Parker was a past matron of Paris Chapter No. 5 Order of the Eastern Star, and had served once as district deputy grand matron.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home. The Rev. Theodore McElroy of First Christian Church will be assisted by the Rev. Walter G. Horn of Central Presbyterian Church. Interment will be made in Evergreen Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Richard Parker, Redus Parker, Elmer Parker, Barney Harrison, O. B. Fisher and Omar Sims.

Surviving are three children, Willard W. Parker and Miss Lida Mae Parker, Paris, and Mrs. Coley Lawrence, Pleasanton; one grandson; a brother and a sister, H. I. Griffin and Mrs. Mattie Sims, both of Rt. 3, Paris.

Mrs. Parker, daughter of William K. and Mattie C. Griffin, was formerly Miss Beulah Griffin, born at Biardstown, Feb. 6, 1874. She was reared there and had been a member of Antioch Christian Church since childhood. She was active in Eastern Star work as long as her health permitted. Her husband died May 3, 1944.
