THE PARIS NEWS, Tuesday, August 30, 1927, p. 1: 'Mrs. W. K. Griffin, 80 years old, died Monday afternoon at 5 o'clock at her home seven miles southeast of Paris. She was a resident of Lamar county for 58 years and was well known and loved by everyone. She is survived by her husband W. K. Griffin and three children, Mrs. W. A. Parker, Mrs. L. E. Sims, and H. L. Griffin. The deceased is also survived by six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the Antioch church.' *Married William K.
