Mrs. Ethel Moore, 65, of the Floyd community, a native of Hunt county, and well known throughout this section, died in a Greenville hospital at 10:30 o'clock Saturday night after an illness of two weeks. She was the wife of Frank Moore.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Floyd Methodist Church, and burial will be in Forest Park cemetery here.
Arrangements are in charge of the James-Coker-Peters Funeral Home, where the body will rest until shortly before the hour for the services.
Born near Floyd on May 14, 1882 Mrs. Moore was the former Ethel Blakemore and was the daughter of Ed Blakemore and Sarah Robinson Blakemore. She had been a resident of Hunt county all of her life, making her home in the Floyd community, where she was a leader in church and community activities.
When she was a girl, Mrs. Moore embraced the teachings of Christianity and united with the Methodist church at Floyd. Throughout the remainder of her life she was faithful to the teachings of the Master.
She is survived by her husband and 3 sons, Herman Moore and Ernest Moore of Commerce, and Herschel Moore of Dallas; one daughter, Mrs. J. V. Wallace, Greenville; four grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Dud Ellis, Floyd; Mrs. H. M. Markham, Sudan, Texas, and Mrs. Park Hutchinson, Portersville, Calif., and four brothers, W. S. Blakemore, Greenville; J. S. Blakemore, Floyd; E. F. Blakemore, Dallas, and J. E. Blakemore, Portersville, Calif.
