Funeral services for Barbara Ann Seal, 65, of Shenandoah, will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2007, at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Elkton. The Rev. Nona Allen will conduct the service. Burial will follow in the Elk Run Cemetery in Elkton. Barbara died Thursday, April 19, 2007, at her home in Shenandoah.
Barbara was born Feb. 4, 1942, in the Naked Creek area of Page County and was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Mabel Hilliards Seal. She had worked for the United States Government, Sperry Rand Corp. in Charlottesville, Comdial in Charlottesville, and most recently was a realtor for Coldwell Banker Funkhouser Realty in Harrisonburg. She was a member of the Furnace United Methodist Church.
Barbara is survived by three brothers, Earman Seal, Raymond Seal and William Seal, all of Shenandoah; a sister, Bertha Hensley, Elkton; and a number of nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by two brothers, John Seal and Owen Seal, and two sisters, Eva Davis and Margaret McCoy.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7 to 8 at the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton.
