William C. Seal
William Clinton Seal, 82, of Shenandoah, passed away Monday, Sept. 3, 2018, in Charlottesville. He was born Jan. 31, 1936, on Naked Creek in Page County and was a son of the late Benjamin C. and Mabel Hilliards Seal.
William served our country in the Army from March 1959 through 1961. He attended Mount Olive Brethren Church, Pineville Road, McGaheysville. He retired from Reynolds Metals Co. in 1996 after 33 years of employment. He enjoyed and took pride in his yard work and mowing and planting a large garden and sharing the bounty with his family and friends. He also was a huge NASCAR, local high school sports and Wood Grill Buffet fan.

He was a tremendous asset and blessing to his children and grandchildren and was always willing to help others. Dad's warm genuine spirit enabled all he encountered to feel immediately special and welcomed. One would quickly see the kindness and joy radiating through his eyes.
On Dec. 2, 1961, he married the former Barbara Ann Taylor, who preceded him in death on May 25, 2007.
Mr. Seal is survived by his two daughters, Kim Shifflett and husband, Gary, of Elkton and Tamara Seal of Harrisonburg; one son, Greg Seal of Shenandoah; one brother, Charles Earman Seal of Shenandoah; three grandchildren, Corie Fowler and husband, Kevin, of Florida, Parker Barnard and fiancé, Kendra Carrier, of Harrisonburg and Adria Barnard; two sisters-in-law, Debra Vigar and husband, William, of Harrisonburg and Vivian Seal of Elkton and a number of nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018, at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton.
Pastor Fred Miller and Pastor Gail Heiston will conduct a funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2018, at Mount Olive Brethren Church in McGaheysville. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens near Harrisonburg.
Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to Mount Olive Brethren Church, Mission Funds, 2977 Pineville Road, McGaheysville, VA 22840.
