She was the widow of Harry W. Cunningham and the daughter of the late Henry Norton and Maggie Lee (Hayes) Downing. Mrs. Cunningham was born of Tiptonville, Tenn., on March 21, 1889. She married her late husband in Caruthersville in 1910.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Caruthersville and a member of the Ruth Sunday School Class.
Survivors include five daughters, Maggie Dunavant of Caruthersville, Bessie Lee Wright and Mary Katheryn Davis of Vallejo, Calif., Geraldine Smith of St. Louis, and Doris V. Curtis of Caruthersville; and eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jerry Kingsbury, Woodrow Watkins, Alvin Dunavant, Pat Peterson, Julian Boyd, and Robert Lynn. Interment was in the Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville in charge.
