Anna "Lesesne" Lewis (Meegan) was named after her mother, Anna, but went by her middle name, Lesesne, which was the name of our ancestors, French Huguenots, on her mother's side. She was beautiful, elegant and very funny. She enjoyed traveling. She was the original owner of Thousand Pines Inn in Tryon, North Carolina. Thru the years she owned the inn jointly with her sisters, Harriett Lewis Luther and Selena Lewis. Lesesne turned the running of the inn over to her sisters and eventually the inn was run solely by Selena. Thousand Pines Inn was a successful business for 50 years. In her younger days she worked as a librarian at Clemson College and later at the NY Public Library.
