John Henry Duden, 80, long time resident of the Euclid vicinity, died at 2:15 a.m. today at his farm home after a long illness.
Born in Hanover, Germany, August 9, 1861, he came to this country with his grandparents in 1873 and settled in Goodhue county. His parents joined them there the following year. He was married June 5, 1888 to Marie Margaret Dieecks, who died April 10, 1890. On November 25, 1891 he was married to Elizabeth Michaelson. They came to Euclid vicinity in 1895 and had since resided there.
Surviving him are his widow, four sons, William, and George of Crookston, Claus of Euclid and Henry at home; four daughters, Mrs. Chris Vieths of Goodhue, Minnesota, Mrs. William Yuergens of Crookston, Emma and Minnie at home, four grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a brother Fred of Red Wing.
