George Duden, 89, of rural Red Lake Falls, died Monday afternoon in the CNC Unit of the Northwest Medical Center in Theif River Falls.
He was born in Euclid on May 23, 1902, the son of John and Elizabeth Michaelson Duden. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Euclid. He grew up in Euclid area where he attended school and later farmed.
On October 17, 1934, he married Elsie Kliner in Fisher. In the early 1950's he moved ot Red Lake Falls area. He worked on the Walter and John Kliner farm near Euclid for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie; a daughter, Evelyn (Mrs. Bernard) Huot of St. Hilaire; a son, Roger of Plummer; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and a sister Louise Yuergens of Crookston.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Sandra Marie; his parents; three brothers Claus, Henry and William; two sisters Emma and Minnie; and a half sister Margaret.
