Arlen B. Marcrum, 40 years of age, died June 17, 1969 at St. Louis. He was the son of Joe Sidney Marcrum and the late Hattie Marcrum.
He was employed by the Fisher Body Company in St. Louis and had previously served two years in the Army.
He was united in marriage to Lynn E. Hatton at Osceola, Ark., December 15, 1951. He leaves his wife, Lynn E. Marcrum of St. Louis; three sons, Jerry, Terry and Tony of the home; his father, Joe Sidney Marcrum of Steele; four brothers: Ralph Marcrum, J.S. Marcrum and Raymond Marcrum of St. Louis and Joseph Marcrum of East St Louis; one sister, Mrs. Betty Ashcraft of Cooter; his grandmother Mrs. Minnie F. Marcrum of Dyersburg, Tenn.; and an aunt, Mrs. Alice Lew of Dyersburg.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 19, at 2:00 p.m. at the John W German Funeral Home in Steele, with Rev. Joe Smith of Cooter officiating.
Interment was in the Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville. Pallbearers were Bud Ashcraft, Elmo Hopgood Ben Hatton, Billy Haynes, Ernest Faulkner, Billy Joe Hatton, and William E Fisher.
The John W. German Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
