Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie Marcrum of 312 liberty Street in Steele were held at German Funeral Home Chapel on July 16, 1963. Rev. L.A. Crews officiated.
Mrs. Marcrum was born March 8, 1899 in Henderson County, Tenn., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Little. She had lived in this community for 27 years. She died at the hospital in Hayti, Mo. July 14, 1963 at the age of 64 years, four months and six days.
Burial was in Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville, Mo., with German Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were J.D. Tart, Grady Anderson, Burlos Tubbs, Harmon Gibson, Wyatt Cary and Alton Cary.
Mrs. Marcrum leaves her husband, Sidney Marcrum of Steele; five sons: Ralph of Hillsboro, Mo., Arlen, J.S. and Raymond of St. Louis and Joseph of East St. Louis, Ill.; a daughter, Betty Ashcraft of Cooter and 19 grandchildren.
She also leaves three brothers, Miles, George and Jim Little; eight sisters: Mrs. Bertha Johnson; Mrs. Mary Little; Mrs. Mary Cary, Mrs. Lector Gothert; Mrs. Sallie Jordan; Mrs. Silas Brunt; Mrs. Bob Nix; and Mrs. Jack Cary; and her mother-in-law, Minnie Florence Marcrum.
