Former Resident Of Guttenberg Is Dead
Charles Niemeyer, a former resident and business man of Guttenberg, passed away at his home in California recently, relatives in this city having received word to that effect. The funeral was held in California.
Deceased was born in Guttenberg, Iowa, 69 years ago. When a young man, he served an apprenticeship in learning the tailoring trade, and for some time was engaged in business in Guttenberg. About 23 years ago Mr. Niemeyer and family went to California to reside, where he spent the remainder of his life.
He is survived by his wife, one son and numerous other relatives and friends, who will all sadly miss him.
Deceased was a brother-in-law of Mrs. G. H. Niemeyer, of Guttenberg.
