ANOTHER PIONEER ANSWERS SUMMONS

Mrs. Halvor Arnegard passed to the great beyond at one o'clock last Tuesday morning at her home in this city, from cancer of the stomach.

Mrs. Arnegard was one of the real pioners of this county, coming here with her husband in 1871, settling on the Goose river west of this city.

She was born in Hallingdal, Norway in November, 1847. She came to America, on the ship "Argo", along with Mr. Arnegard, when quite young and settled at Esterville, Iowa. She was married to Mr. Arnegard at that place in August, 1869. Two years later they came to Traill county.

She is survived by six children; Mrs. Andrew (Mary) Swenson of Bloomfield township; Mrs. O.P. (Helena) Olson, of Park River; and Ole, Carl Eddie and Bennie, all of this immediate vicinity.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon from both her late residence and the M. E. church, Rev. Knudson and Amundson officiating.

She was laid to rest in the Arnegard cemetery, west of the city, beside her husband, who preceded her in death on April 15, 1921.
