William A. Wright, Sr, 89, of West Chester, died Sunday, Oct. 22, 1995, at Hickory House Nursing Home, Honey Brook.
He was the husband of Marian Bogle Wright, with whom he shared 67 years of marriage. Although he previously had lived in Wellsboro for 20 years, he had lived in Chester County most of his life.
Born in Wickerton, he was the son of the late Wiliam and Sara Pierce Wright.
He was a 1923 graduate of Girard College.
He worked as a pressman at Keystone Tag, retiring after 20 years of service. He had also worked as a pressman for Denny Tag for 35 years.
He was a member of Halladay Methodist Church in Wellsboro and a former member of the Grove United Methodist Church, West Chester.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hiking. Later in life he enjoyed reading.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, William A. Wright, Jr. of Clarkston, Wash; two daughters, Virginia DiSabatino of Newark, Del., and Beverly Malavolta of West Chester, six grandchildren and eight (great)* grandchildren.
He was predeceded in death by one grandson, Michael Malavolta.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Thuresday, Oct. 26, at Della-Vecchia, Reilly & Smith Funeral Home, 410 N. Church Street, West Chester.
Interment will be in Grove Methodist Church Cemetery, West Chester.
