Cedar Falls: Mrs. Hannah Chapman, 81, a widow of Sheeler Chapman, and a resident of Cedar Falls and vicinity since 1882 , died of a heart attack about 10:30 am Monday at her home in Cedar City.

She was born in Denmark and came to the United States as a girl of 14, coming directly to Cedar Falls, where she grew to womanhood and Dec 29,1887, married Miller Chapman. They established their home on a farm in this vicinity and with the exception of a few years near Slayton, Minn., resided in this locality.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Glenn Chapman, former city dump custodian, who died in an Iowa city hospital of blood poisoning last Aug 24.

Surviving are two daughters and three sons: They include Mary F. Thompson; Wheeler S. Chapman; Fannie Irene Telford; Charles J.; and Alva T. Chapman, all residing in or near Cedar Falls. She was a member of the Nazareth Lutheran Church. The body is at the Dahl Funeral home.
