Died in a car accident. PEACE RIVER RECORD-GAZETTE, September 2, 1948: Hotchkiss/August 25--The funeral of Peter Mork was held from the United church, Notikewan, August 21, Rev. H. G. Pritchard , Peace River, officiating, with interment in the Notikewan Cemetery. Pallbearers were neighbors of deceased: Orly Brown, Norman Fillvel, Wes Willy, Jack Wilson, Len Condy, and Vane Vandermark.

Mr. Mork will be missed in our locality where he homesteaded, coming here from Spirit River in 1929. Previously he had lived in and around Grande Prairie and Lake Saskatoon districts.

AUGUST 19, 1948: (Article about accident)--NELSON PETER MORK..Little is known of the family of Mr. Mork, who was the second victim in the accident other than that a sister resides in the United States, and an effort is being made to contact her. Funeral arrangements have not been announced until she is contacted. Mr. Mork was a trapper and farmer of the Hotchkiss district where he was known by the name of "Muskeg Pete".
