Mrs. Georgianna Gonyea
Mrs. Georgianna (Rule) Gonyea, 73, of 237 Water St., Indian Orchard, died Monday in Springfield Hospital after a long illness. Born in Redford, N.Y., Oct. 1, 1890, she had been a resident of Indian Orchard for the past 17 years. Previously, she had lived in Ludlow for 30 years. Mrs. Gonyea was a member of St. Aloysius Church. She leaves three sons, James of Southwick, Walter of this city and Leonard of Ludlow; five daughters, Mrs. Martha Machabee of Indian Orchard, Mrs. Madeleine Benware of Piercefield, N.Y., Mrs. Mildred Lake and Mrs. Gladys Polycow, both of Ludlow, and Mrs. Verla Gassnola of Indian Orchard; a brother, William Rule of Potsdam, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Garrow of Ludlow and Mrs. Agnes Brisson of Indian Orchard; 21 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at the Ratell funeral home Wednesday at 8:15 a.m. with a requiem high mass in St. Aloysius Church at 9. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours are today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 p.m.
