Mrs. Ivar Sandberg Dies at Elbow Lake
Mrs. Ivar (Marion) Sandberg, 84, a resident of Barrett, died yesterday at the Elbow Lake Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with the Rev Herman Buenting officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Sandberg was born Aug. 30, 1886, at Minneapolis, the daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. E. Berrum. She was married Oct. 4, 1917, at Holman, Wis. to the Rev. Ivar Sandberg. The couple moved to Barrett where he was named pastor.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Orrin (Anne) Anderson of Westby, Wis.; Mrs. Leo (Dorothea) Riggens of Afton, Wis.; three sons, John of Barrett, Paul of Morris, Gerhard of Corpus Christi, Texas; 15 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Constance K Elvehjem of McFarland, Wis., Mrs. Einar (Anna) Larson of Sun City, Ariz.
The Erickson Funeral Home of Elbow Lake is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
