Liva Custer Adams
Death of Mrs. Owen Adams
All who have known her and practically everybody did-were shocked and saddened by the announcement Saturday morning that Mrs. Owen Adams had yielded to the death summons.
She had been quite sick for some time with an attack of pneumonia, but was thought that no serious results were to be feared as she was getting along satisfactorily, and on the road to recovery. However, her heart action failed unexpectedly and when this occurred the end came hurriedly.
Liva Custer was born Jan. 2, 1889 and died at her home near Silver City, Iowa, Nov. 12, 1827. She was born and raised on the family farm one mile north of Silver City, and was married to Owen Adams Feb. 22, 1910. To this union was born two children, Harold, age 15, and Florence Maria, age 4 years. She leaves besides her family, her father, Sela Custer, Silver City, Iowa, and two brothers, Guy Custer of Silver City and Reno Ouster of Hastings, and one sister, Mrs. Lenna Kirby, of Pipestone, Minn., besides a host of friends to mourn her untimely death.,
The funeral was held Monday afternoon from the Methodist Church In Silver City, Rev. Felt of Randolph, former pastor here, preaching the sermon. the remains were laid to rest in the Silver City Cemetery.
Floral tributes were much in evidence and the funeral obsequies werre largely attended, attesting the high esteem of the life that was passed on to the world beyond. Silver City Times
