John W. Lamon Called Home

Funeral services for John W. Lamon, 67, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Chapel Hill Methodist Church, with Rev. Cabe Smith in charge of rites.  The body will remain at the residence, Decatur 3, until 1 p.m. Friday, when it will be taken to the church.  The body will lie in state there from 1 to 2 p.m.  Interment will be made in Roselawn cemetery, Brown directing.

Mr. Lamon, a retired farmer, died at his home Wednesday at 3:03 p.m. after a long illness.  A native of Morgan County, he spent his entire life near his present home.

Surviving are: four daughters, Mrs. Almon Rivers and Mrs. Richard Aycock, Trinity; Mrs. Forrest Plant, Decatur; and Mrs. Hewlett Aldridge, Calera, Ala; a son, Rev. Woodrow Lamon, Hartselle; six brothers, and a number of other relatives.

Six nephews will serve as pallbearers.
