Mrs. Willie Mae Plunkett, 81, of Montgomery, died Wednesday, February 17, 1971, at Winnfield General Hospital after a long illness. Funeral services were held at 3 p. m. Thursday at Montgomery Church of Christ, where she was a member, with Brothers James Barrett and Luther Richardson officiating. Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Survivors include her husband, Reuben Plunkett of Montgomery; two sons, Otis and O. W. Plunkett, both of Rock Hill; two daughters, Mrs. Bernice Gongre of Belle Chasse and Mrs. Ruby Burch of Montgomery; a brother, William Elkins of Winnsboro; two sisters, Mrs. Ira [sic Arra] McCain of Natchitoches, and Mrs. Berta Williams of Tioga; and 11 grandchildren.
