Mrs. Brown was born H. Joan Twombley on Oct. 16, 1936, in Delphos. She was a homemaker. She married Owen "Buck" Brown on Dec. 1, 1951, in Salina. She was an avid golfer, belonging to the Woman's Golf Association. She was also a Lady Shriner and a member of Rolling Hills Congregational United Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert "Bobby" W. Brown in 1987.
Survivors include her husband, Owen "Buck" of the home; a son, Owen "Buck" Jr. and wife Susie of Galva; a daughter, Dianna Brown Ogborn of Salina; two brothers, Bill Anderson of Delphos, and Larry Chambers of Okeechobee, Fla.; a sister, Myrt Casey of Lakewood, Colo.; four grandchildren, Jonas Hecker and wife Erin of Salina, Jon Brown and wife Amber of Inman and Jessica and Caleb Ogborn of Lawrence; five great-grandchildren, Alexis and Bailee Hattabaugh and Conner and Carter Brown, all of Inman, and Brax Hecker of Salina.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at University United Methodist Church, Salina. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.
