Barbara Lee, daughter of John and Lucy Anderson, was born on the 28th day of March, 1931, at Wakeeney, Kansas, and departed this life for the better world from Delphos, Kansas, on the 7th day of May, 1936, at the tender age of five years, one month and nine days.

Little Barbara Lee came to Delphos with her mother, Mrs. Lucy Twombly, in the year 1933, and Delphos has since been her home until the time of her going home. Her father, step-father, and two sisters preceded her in death.

She was baptized in the Presbyterian Church in Wakeeney, Kansas, as a baby.

She leaves to mourn her going, her mother, four sisters, Myrtle, Nelda, June and Joan; three brothers, Billy, Leo, and Carroll Dean; two grandmothers, Mrs. Minnie Lindsey of Delphos, Kansas, and Mrs. C.J. Rosvell of Denver, Colorado; four aunts, two uncles, a number of great aunts and uncles, besides a host of friends.

Funeral services were held in the Presbyterian Church Saturday afternoon, in charge of Rev. L.R. Fish of the Methodist Church. The little body was laid to rest in the Delphos Cemetery.

The Heart of the Eternal
There's a wideness in God's mercy,
Like the wideness of the sea;
There's a kindness in His Justice,
Which is more than liberty.

For the love of God is broader
Than the measures of man's mind;
And the heart of the Eternal
Is most wonderfully kind.

If our love were but more simple,
We should take Him at His word,
And our lives would be all sunshine
In the sweetness of our Lord.
